Broccoli Cheddar Ham Quiche

This isn't particularly "clean" per se, but got damn I love quiche!

3 eggs
1-1/2 cups half-and-half cream
Salt
Pepper
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup ham
1 cup broccoli, chopped
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and half-and-half. Season with salt and pepper, and add ham and broccoli. Place shredded cheddar in the pie shell. Pour egg mixture over cheese.

Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake for 25 minutes, or until crust is golden and filling is set. Allow to set 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

  1. If you take away the crust add more veggies and cook them in individual muffin cups, you've got the perfect South Beach breakfast.

  2. I was thinking of looking into making my own (whole wheat crust) and doing them in muffin cups (for the sake of ease and adorablity). I've just been so bloody lazy lately.
